In the onslaught of time

The "Vieux Château" (14th C) is a fortress standing on a rocky outcrop surrounded by the sea. It was built at the dawn of the 100-Years-War and had to withstand the repeated assaults that have marked its history.

Hergé was inspired by it in the design of the Tintin adventures comic "The Black Island".
