Two superb shots Carol. I love that tartan! My youngest brother was married in Scotland 20 years ago and they had a lone piper. Brings back great memories, even though it rained the whole weekend! Have a good new week.

This piper was a wonderful character, full of fun and very interesting to talk to. He seemed very proud of his Scottish heritage and really made our day.

Great atmosphere in this splendid image : while admiring the magnificent tartan I can hear the 'haunting sound of the bagpipes' that let me go back to some magic moment in Scotland ..ages ago .:-)

Very nicely captured in both shots Carol. Reminds me of a couple of holiday spent in this glen although no piper heard when we were there. Perhaps a bit chilly at the time;-)

I seem to remember 'Scotland the Brave' but it was a long time ago and my memories are of this wonderful warm and friendly Scot who told us about the Glen and Scottish folklore - and even the best place to buy cakes. He siad he bought one every day he was there to take home to his wife. He was a real character playing to me and letting Roger take pictures of us. We were still laughing miles down the road!!

What a great memory! I wish I was going back to Scotland, but I have fond memories of the time I did get to go.
