Tall Ships and Dreams
A beautiful day at Oban Scottish Highlands. It is so peaceful that any movement of the ships and boats is almost imperceptible.
The tall ship on the left is the 'Flying Dutchman'. What a dream to sail away on her on such a perfect day, and to feel the gentle movement of the water beneath her.
I have added the link 'Rock Me On The Water' by Linda Ronstadt.

Lone Piper (PiP)
The haunting sound of the bagpipes drifts along the glen as the lone piper plays.

Persuasion (PiP) HFF!
A laugh out loud moment when we were confronted by a farmer gently 'persuading' his cows to move on down the road with a gentle nudge or two. (Please see PP) The cows looked mightily unimpressed! Apologies for the poor quality - I took the pictures through the car windscreen.
The link for Sight and Sound is 'Persuasion' sung here by Richard Thompson accompanied by his son Teddy.

Brixham on a sunny day, and the pleasure boats are knee deep in tourists taking trips around the bay. I have added the link ' Knee Deep' by Zac Brown Band + Jimmy Buffett

The Castle on the Hill - HFF!
Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland
The site on which this castle stands has it's origins in Anglo Saxon times when it became the seat of King Ida of Bernicia. The fortress was destroyed by Vikings in AD993 and the Normans later built the original castle on the site. During the Wars of the Roses it became the first castle to fall to artillery in the British Isles.
The castle has had many owners and has in its time been used as a hospital for the poor. a school and a hospice for shipwrecked sailors before being purchased in the late nineteenth century by Sir William Armstrong who restored and renovated the castle between 1894 -1904.
The castle still belongs to the Armstrong family and is one of the largest inhabited castles in the country.
It is a popular location for films and became 'Hogwarts' for the first two Harry Potter films and was also featured in 'Robin Hood Prince of Thieves'
