2007 Pheosia tremula (Swallow Prominent)

2007 Pheosia tremula (Swallow Prominent)
Notodontidae, Notodontinae. Wingspan: 54mm.

One of two closely related species generally found throughout Cornwall, which are identified by the size of the white triangular mark at the outer posterior edge of the fore-wings. In this species, the triangle extends to half of the wing edge, whilst P.gnoma (The Lesser Swallow Prominent) has a short wide triangle there.
