My wife shouted out "take a picture!" This one was crawling on my wife's backpack trying to reach into it.

For the Saturday Self-challenge: Take a photo of a subject or place that reminds you of good memories.
This is a painting my wife has been working on with her watercolour instructor (still in progress). It is from a photo I took on the top of Gibraltar as a Barbary Macaque was climbing on my wife trying to dig into her backpack. (Photo in note)

The Sunday Challenge: Christmas Traditions
A tradition we encounter where we live is the white elephant gift exchange. The idea is to bring something you no longer want, wrap it and put it under the tree. Individuals then come in a predetermined order to pick and open gifts. The hook comes when someone wants what you chose. It can be "stolen" twice during the gift opening. We got this at the last party where there was this type of exchange. It will be enjoying Christmas 2018 with another "lucky" chooser as we re-wrap it for next year's holiday season.

This fluorescent light conveniently died this week as I was thinking of a subject for The Sunday Challenge: light bulb. I got the impression that it was starting its journey to that great ballast in the sky.

The Saturday Self-Challenge: letters of the alphabet.
There is still nothing like a Bible cover in Moroccan leather. A little fun with a macro lens and a strong beam of winter light.

Record Cover Challenge - Champagne Music
|
|
|
|
For the Saturday Self-challenge: record cover.
Popular on North American television in the 1950s-1970s Lawrence Welk's sentimental, kitchy, take on popular music was a challenge for some and a delight for others.
It was so bubbly they called it Champagne Music.
