Record Cover Challenge - Champagne Music
For the Saturday Self-challenge: record cover.
Popular on North American television in the 1950s-1970s Lawrence Welk's sentimental, kitchy, take on popular music was a challenge for some and a delight for others.
It was so bubbly they called it Champagne Music.

Violin is Hard
My wife said that the violin was a hard instrument to play so I used it as a hammer.
For the Sunday Challenge: Take a photograph of an ordinary everyday item(s) in an out of the ordinary place. A place where you would not normally find the item.
****The added twist: give the photograph a vintage effect.
A daguerotype effect from Corel Paintshop.
Red Abstract
For the Saturday Self-challenge. Out of focus abstract. An in-focus picture of the abstract is in the note.
May the splash of red remind us of all the deaths that bring tribute to all who sacrifice but are eventually meaningless as we refuse to learn the lessons of the past and plan assaults for the future. Remembrance Day 2017.
Chilling the Ginja
For the Sunday Challenge: Bottle
I don't think this is the scene this bottle of ginja expected when it left Obidos.
My wife spotted this and purchased it for us. It is a reminder of our trip to Portugal and our brief visit to Obidos.
Cat's Eye
For the Saturday Self-challenge: Eye, as close as you can get. This is as close as my cat would allow me. No cropping.

Opus at the Chiropractor
The Sunday Challenge: Something creepy through a mirror.
Opus is creeped out about his chair as he waits to see the chiropractor.
SSC First Anniversary
For the Saturday Self Challenge. A seasonal card marking the first anniversary of the group.
When I set out to do this week's assignment I still had my camera set to double exposure.
Herbs Surviving Frost
The Sunday Challenge: Herbs and Spices
I used the frame built into my camera to catch these natural herbs that had already survived some frosts in our garden. Left is mint, top right is chives, and bottom right is either oregano or thyme.
Frog
For the Sunday Challenge: something that starts with F, in black and white, and as close as you can get.
Also known as a Frosch, talon and tallon, and hause, in various languages.
Fiesta Ware
For the Sunday Challenge: Celebration.
This is my first offering from a cell phone. The display said "Fiesta Table" at the gift store. Nothing says celebration like a fiesta.
Colours in my Neighborhood.
