In a city that loves rectangles, this is still one of our most interesting structures. The pool and recreation center is named for the British architect who practiced in Canada that designed this building. It was formerly known as Coronation Pool when it was built in 1970. In Coronation Park, Edmonton, Alberta.

Always an Extra Chair

30 May 2017 13 15 268
For the Sunday Challenge. A place you love. This is the fire pit and view from the recreation property my wife's family owns at Pigeon Lake, Alberta. In the foreground is my chair where I spend most of my time reading, waiting for the birds to arrive in the late afternoon and in this case, get the wieners out and have a roast. I would have had a photo of Corsica or Florence but I could not arrange a trip there within the week.
