The globe on Vikingen island marks the polar circle.

As with the North Cape which isn't really the northernmost point (that's Knivskjellodden nearby), Vikingen is not directly on the polar circle but was the most convenient place to place the globe.

Ach, wenn die schon überall waren, haben die kein Problem mit ein bissle Seegang;-)
Das einzige Mal, wo ich kurz vor dem Fische-Füttern stand, war in der Drake Passage Richtung Antarktis- Schiff ohne Stabis und "nur" Windstärke 8- an der norwegischen Küste haben mir 11-12 nichts ausgemacht.

Ich werde mal nachfragen, wenn sie anfang märz wieder zurück sind ;-)
Uiiii, wahnsinn! ;-) Keine ahnung, wie ich mich da fühlen würde!! Ich kenne das nur von mittelmeerfähren und da ist der seegang bestimmt nicht vergleichbar. Jedenfalls ging's mir ok, aber die mitreisenden um mich herum haben eifrig die fische gefüttert...und wenn man das ständig sieht, dann wird's einem auch irgendwann flau im magen. Ich wollte es ja früher nicht glauben, aber ich hab wirklich leute gesehen, die waren grün im gesicht ;-))

Ja, wenn um einen rum die Fische gefüttert werden, steht man schnell kurz vor dem Mit-Füttern.... Ging mir Richtung Antarktis auch so: ich saß beim Frühstück und der Amerikaner mir gegenüber übergab sich in seine Müsli-Schüssel... Meiner Nebensitzerin konnte ich gerade noch eine Tüte reichen;-) Ich bin dann offenbar auch etwas grün im Gesicht geworden, aber ein bisschen trockener Toast hat geholfen!

Sturm im Mittelmeer soll ziemlich heftig sein, habe ich gehört...
