Herzlichen Dank, Udo! Strom ist auch dort teurer geworden, aber der war vorher so spottbillig, dass er im Vergleich zu uns immer noch sehr günstig ist. Die Norweger machen jetzt halt mal in manchen Zimmern das Licht aus, statt alle Räume 24 Std. taghell erleuchtet zu lassen,....

Thanks a lot, Keith! As there's litlle or (from end of Nov to mid Jan) no sun at all, everything is illuminated to make up for it. Heated pavements are to be found in most Norwegian towns, at least in the most frequented areas. But roads aren't salted, cars and bicycles use spikes;-)

Herzlichen Dank, Uwe! Beheizte Gehwege sind in norwegischen Fußgängerzonen üblich, dafür räumen sie die Straßen nur mit Schneepflug und streuen nicht;-)

Thank you so much, Rosa! Cities up north have had this for quite a while. It works like real underfloor heating with hot water pipes under the pavement. Electricity used to be dirt cheap in Norway, often from water power. These days most villages up north have their own small windpark.

Besten Dank, Percy! Wir hatten das Perspektivet Museum am Ende der Straße als Ziel, die hatten eine faszinierende Ausstellung der sibirischen Fotografin Evgenia Arbugaeva, aber auch einen tollen Fundus an Fotos örtlicher Fotografen.

Herzlichen Dank, Karin! In Norwegen war der Strom lange Zeit spottbillig, da hatten die Leute rund um die Uhr in allen Räumen das Licht brennen und manchmal kam man in Hotelzimmer, da bullerte die Heizung auf 25 Grad!
Heute ist Energie auch teurer geworden, aber nicht annähernd so wie bei uns. Strom wird überwiegend aus Wasserkraft gewonnen und seit längerer Zeit nimmt Windkraft zu. Im Norden siehst du jedes Jahr mehr Dörfer, die sich eine neue Windkraftanlage hingestellt haben, dadurch werden sie ein Stück weit autark.
