A grain warehouse until the 1970ies, the building on Duisburg's interiour harbour was converted into a museum for modern art which openend in 1999 and has recently had an extension added which cuts through the old silo.The staircases are of terracotta coloured raw concrete. Architects: Herzog & de Meuron

Großen Dank, Tanja! Der farbige Sichtbeton mit dem Licht von oben lässt einen zwangsläufig dran denken, gell:-) Und ja, hat Spaß gemacht! Wir waren zum Glück um die Mittagszeit dort, später wurde es voll...

Herzlichen Dank, Leo! Der Museumsbau ist eine tolle Spielwiese für Fotografen. Für den Privatgebrauch durfte man sogar die Kunstwerke ablichten, nur nicht veröffentlichen- frag nicht, wie viele Selfies da vor den Gursky-Großformaten gemacht wurden- nur nicht von mir;-)

Ich weiß nicht, wie es mit einer großen Spiegelreflex gewesen wäre, denn richtig große Taschen hätte man schon einschließen müssen. Meine ging in die Umhängetasche, die auch nicht ganz klein war, aber offenbar klein genug;-)
