Obrigada, Isabel! The tree came in handy to conceal the sun:-) I usually stop down with the Q2 because lights tend to burn out otherwise, one of the very few flaws of the camera. But I like how easy it is to manually under- or overexpose:-)

Agree, I do the same... get so used to it that I dont bother about it ! Here the light in Summer is very strong so I have a nd filter I can use if I want a shallow DOF and can't get enough with ISO50 and s/2000

I still have to try out an old polarizer that should also fit on the Q2 although polarizers with wide angle can be problematic. Depending on where I'll travel maybe I will also get an ND, though I guess I won't need it in Iceland;-)

I like your composition and framing here Gudrun...........and you did a great job exposing for both the very bright sunlight and the shadows.

The snow-capped peak make an impressive backdrop and I also like the birds in the foreground. The light on the water is particularly lovely and I like the large silhouetted tree.

Well worth viewing large to see the awesome detail in the shadow areas.

Sensible measures Gudrun........I always shoot RAW as well.

My new camera has built in ND filters, but I haven't experimented with them yet. It's all a bit of a steep learning curve ;-)

Built-in sounds good! I have bought some ND filters and took them on various holidays but guess what- I never found the time to try them out;-)

Ein wunderschönes Winterlicht. Wir haben Bergen bis jetzt nur im Sommer bzw. Herbst gesehen. Mit der MS Trollfjord waren wir 2016 unterwegs.

Die Trollfjord habe ich ganz kurzfristig gebucht, war nur zu 1/3 belegt. Das überdachte Umlaufdeck war praktisch, aber normalerweise wäre mir das Schiff zu groß.

So darf der Tag beginnen, scheint auch nicht zu heiß zu sein, die Probleme haben sie dort weniger

Es ist schon so lange da ich dort war, im '99. Mir hat es sehr gefallen. Wir waren oben und hat hat man eine fantastische Aussicht.

Dank dir, Dany! Du warst mit der Zahnradbahn auf dem Fløyen, nehme ich an? Da war ich auch mal, war gant toll!
Der Berg hier im Hintergrund ist der Ulriken, da gibt es eine Seilbahn hoch. Da war mir bisher immer das Wetter zu schlecht, es stürmte zu sehr oder die Zeit hat nicht gereicht....

That’s truly breathtaking. Reminded me of memories of the Lake District from when I was young. It wouldn’t be the same now but this is what I remember
