In Norway they call these bales 'tractor eggs'. I wonder if it's similar in Iceland. :)
LOL- now I can see a film in my head of the tractor laying eggs;-)
I don't know the Icelandic word- usually they don't have words with foreign roots, everythings is translated. Google translate is rather useless with Icelandic- you get some very funny results!
"Gos" f.i. means volcanic eruption, but is also the word for fizzy drinks - so if I use Giggle translate for an article about the eruption in Holuhraun I get somenthing about soda in the hole lava...
