A pattern revisited

Back in July I posted this ink drawing with a red, colored pencil background. My plan was to paint in a background later. just using the colored pencil to see how the contrast looked. Well, it's October, almost 4 months later, but I finally got around to painting it!

Ink and acrylic on 11 by 14 inch paper.
