summer seen

I did this last Thursday at the weekly life drawing session in Vladimir's studio in Fairbanks.
Alas that was the last life session until December; Vladimir's off to Germany to do some painting there and the North Pole Grange sessions won't start until December.
The model, Louise, noted at the beginning of the session that it was a bit cold in the studio (She just doesn't agree with my contention than the goose bumps just add more interesting texture for us to draw!) so Vladimir turned up the heat.
By the time I sketched this one the studio was quite warm, no goose bumps to be seen! -grin-
Subsequently I was thinking about, remembering, summer while doing this sketch.
This was, for our sessions, a long pose, twenty minutes.
Water soluble oil pastels (Portfolio) on Bee's sketch paper. 11 by 14 inches.
