down at Chitna 1965 or 66

Shewolf asked me to upload some pictures of Captain Husky Tanner Thunderdog O'Neil, an aussie Shepard blue merle, husky (sled dog), wolf cross. Unfortunately most pictures of Captain were taken before 1967. We had a flood in '67, the water was over 3 feet deep in the old house and the pictures were stored at a 2 foot level. Alas these two were the best I found of Captain. Excuse picture quality.
As noted, the dog is aussie, wolf etc. cross. Most of the kids in the picture are Eskimo/Appalachian cross (mom is from Kotzebue, dad from the Virginias) except for the two that belong to me and they're Irish/Scottish etc. cross.
Oh yea, we were down at Chitna sip netting for salmon.
Oh yea, yea; There was a grizzly bear sniffing and snorting around our camp but I'm pleased to say no kids nor fish were lost! Captain, whom we took along for bear warning and/or protection, -what did he do when the bear showed up? He hid under the truck and didn't make a sound! Smart dog!!
