clch - fossil fuel subsidies

To me, consumption and other subsidies to this sector seem to go against the ideas of reducing the world's reliance on fossil fuels. Some of these amounts are eye-wateringly huge, especially when compared to the miniscule amounts spent on developing renewable resources.
