The Nation In Tears

Antique copy of Demorest's Illustrated Monthly including Mme. Demorest's Mirror of Fashions from June 1865. This issue contains "The Nation In Tears," a tribute in music to the recently slain President Abraham Lincoln, along with engravings of his funeral procession and this fantastic portrait, which shows the imprint in striking relief of the music on the reverse.
Happy Presidents Day!
