Opgave was ‘focus’.

Onderwerp is het kastje. Dit kastje is beplakt met een gedeeltelijke afbeelding van de ‘Nachtwacht’ van Rembrandt van Rijn. De personages op de afbeelding zijn echter niet in focus: zij zijn verpixeld. Van een afstand lijkt de afbeelding scherp, maar hoe dichter bij, hoe duidelijker de onscherpte.

Het origineel van de ‘Nachtwacht’ hangt in het Rijksmuseum. Op deze foto wordt het schilderij bekeken door president Obama (VS) en minister-president Rutte.

Challenge was ‘focus’.

Subject is the little chest in front of the wall. On this chest is a sticker with a partial depiction of the ‘Nachtwacht’ (Night watch) by Rembrandt van Rijn. However, the persons on this representation do not seem to be in focus: the were pixelised. From a distance the picture seems to be sharp, but how closer you come, how clearer the unsharpness.

The original of the ‘Nachtwacht’ is hanging in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. On this photo from 2014 this world famous painting was seen by president Obama (USA) and prime-minister Rutte (Netherlands).
