Ruffed Grouse

On 28 September 2013, I went for a short drive along a few of the gravel backroads on the western edge of the city. I noticed this beautiful Ruffed Grouse ahead of me, at the side of the road and amazingly, it stood there and let me pull up almost beside it, before it ran off.
