Hairy Woodpecker
Snow, snow and more snow
Yesterday's treat
At rest under the old tree
Storm clouds east of the city
Protea
The road to William's Coulee
Ruffed Grouse
I think I hear something
Road conditions
You can always count on a Chickadee
Warm, yellow rays
A quick glance
Pink Straw Flowers
Gray Jay up close
Rare Przewalski Horses
The beauty of snow
The trail of a snail
Belted Kingfisher
From Mt. Shark, Smith-Dorrien/Spray Trail
Disappearing act
Mist and bokeh
Blue and white
Beware of the ditches
So much snow everywhere
Rural winter scene
A farmyard find
Ruddy Duck in June
Backroads only for the brave
The look
Sunlit Sharp-tailed Grouse
Dangling hearts
Clay-coloured Sparrow
A distant Golden Eagle
An apple a day ...
Mountain Chickadee
Go away, snow!
It's all about the eyes
A cold day of birding
Always a thrill
Perfectly textured
Looking almost unreal
A view from Mt. Shark, Kananaskis
Golden Eagle
Icy reflections

Lilium pardalinum

Time to add a bit of colour to my photostream to break the monotony of endless snow scenes : ) I think I have the correct ID for this beautiful Lily, which I photographed at the Reader Rock Garden on 10 August 2011.

It is a foggy warm day today as we will see a high of 6C (43F) ... where the snow has been compacted ... it has turned to ice ... I am sure the roads and many of the sidewalks have turned into "skating rinks" ... LOL ... a welcomed warm front in our long and frigid Winter ...
