Snack time, owl style

Poor little Meadow Vole, but I'm glad that the Northern Hawk Owl, seen NW of the city, was able to enjoy a healthy snack. Taken on March 21st, which seems to have been an exceptionally amazing day for seeing the owl. From my own experience and from what other people are saying, there is very little activity going on ever since that day. The owl seems to be spending most of its time perched very high up in extremely tall trees. I am so thankful to have got some good chances for photos on that Wednesday!!
Lol, did anyone else fall for the Flickr Blog last night/today???
