I love Alberta

The colours of the fields and rolling hills and distant mountains (zoomed!) are so beautiful on this kind of winter day. This was the kind of countryside we drove in for the Nanton Christmas Bird Count, covering the SW quadrant of the large bird count circle around the small town. Just wish I was going along these backroads right now, instead of discovering that one of my printer cartridges is at low level of ink. I couldn't even get one single page to print properly straight after the warning! And I have 11 pages that I need to print before going out tomorrow. Unfortunately, I was out this evening at a great talk on Brown-Lowery Provincial Park, so didn't discover my printer problem till I got home. So, I will have to get up early, dash out to the store and hope that the pages dry thoroughly in time before I need to take them with me. Oh, the fun of computers - and I've no idea what has been happening with mine today - a few weird things, such as dozens and dozens of Internet Explorer pages suddenly loading, instead of just one. Never had that happen before : ) Thank goodness it seems to be working OK now. (Note: I have marked the town of Nanton on my map, but this photo was taken somewhere SW of it).
