Between friends

These Red-breasted Nuthatches are such delightful little birds and it is very humbling when one flies down to your hand. This morning, this one flew down to friend Katie's hand - and yes, it was a cold morning with a nasty bitter wind! Katie is 15 years old and is unbelievably keen, observant and knowledgeable about nature, birds especially. She also loves taking photos and video of everything she sees. Way to go, Katie, you clever girl!
