Blades of ice

This is the reality - cold, ice, lack of sun! However, I always find the patterns made along the edges of ice really fascinating. These icy daggers had formed on the creek in Fish Creek Park, around Bebo Grove. It was such a slow morning for seeing birds (I think only 12 species), so I was happy to turn my camera on other subjects : )
