Back To School, 1966

Posted for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of "THE 60s."
Here's me, obligingly posing for my mother, at my aunt and uncle's house in September 1966. I'm proudly showing off my 7th grade, back to school clothes which I believe I bought in Malley's in New Haven - choosing them myself.
The colors that were big that fall were mustard and plum - and that's what I'm wearing, so even though those pants look brown, they're plum colored with flowers. The shirt was called a long sleeved "poor boy" (anyone else remember them?) My 1966 out fit is complete with the headband to match, the wide belt, and the suede flats.
My fashionable, accessorized look was not to last too many more years. : )
