The Send-Off

Sheesh, the days fly by! I'm adding this a little bit late…sorry!
This is posted for the Vintage Photos theme Park theme of "A New Beginning" and is a picture of my father (far left) and "Uncle" (next door neighbor) being given a send off farewell, minutes before they took off on their journey to migrate to the United States. My mother, brother, and I are also here, as well as Uncle Maurice's family, Auntie Vera, Ruth and Frances. Additionally, to see them off, are our neighbors on the other side of us, the Cox family. (With Lil Cox holding our cat, Willum.)
I think I remember "the men" had a taxi to take them to the railway station, and that the taxi driver was the one who took this picture.
This is February 1964. We followed our fathers' out and joined them in July.
A dramatic new beginning!
