Lady Baskerville sits for a portrait. My grandmother and her nemesis, about 1964. Brought forward for The Vintage Photos Theme Park

My parents took off on a vacation, leaving my poor grandmother to tend to their children and livestock. One memorable day, Thor took off bounding after a rabbit. I vividly remember the sight of my grandmother, in housedress and grandma shoes, futilely chasing after him and shouting in her southern accent, "Tho! Tho! Tho, you come back heah now! Tho!" My sister and I all the while laughing hysterically, which did not go over well with poor Grandma. I am now ashamed but it still makes me chuckle.
