This woman is wearing what looks like a cloth collar with the name "Josie" seemingly part of the collar. I don't know if that's her name or she's wearing it in rememberance of someone or some other reason like a club or society.
I've never seen anything like it before. Has anyone else?

"Taken on June 21st 1894, this is a very good picture of Marie-Joséphine Jones wife of Jean-Alexandre Têtu. She died on March 16th 1895 Fraserville [Rivière-du-Loup] Québec. This picture was taken at the studio of Stanislas Belle (1864-1936) eminent photographer for the area of Fraserville Province of Québec."
