The Written Word

The Written Word
Saturday Self-Challenge: Anything that has been rendered obsolete but still being used everyday by people everywhere.

In this day of electronic books and texting, many people thought letters and books with pages would be a thing of the past. But modern technology can never replace the personal touch of pen and paper or the tactile feel of a good book in the hands. I still can read love letters written to my mother by my father over 64 years ago and see the writing that flowed from his hand. Texting has no such personal touch.

Have great weekend, everyone! Hugs to Pam and Marie-claire xx

Hi Val,

Very nice picture! Do you remember the pens we used to have in school, the ones you had to dip in the inkwell every few letters.....

No, I don't have one any more, but I do still have my school book of log tables, and my slide rule..
Kids today wouldn't know either!!

Best Wishes
Peter
