Memories of Ayr Depot (1) - 16 October 1985

Class 27 locomotive 27030 at the head of a line of locomotives.

Taken in the days when depots were many, usually had locomotives and when a courteous request to look round was usually met with a courteous and affirmative reply. Ayr Depot is a little to the south of Newton-on-Ayr station.

This is the first in a series of rediscovered photographs being scanned during lockdown and, I hope, bringing as much joy to those thus confined as they do to me.
