Nature's Abstract: Cherry Blossoms

Marshlands Conservancy, Rye, NY
Note: I chose the title because the abstract, created from the random pattern found on a leaf (shown below) represents cherry blossoms that represent both renewal and the fragility of life. The vibrant colors are meant to be refreshing to convey renewal while the faint vertical and diagonal lines are meant to represent branches to symbolize both fragility and unity, the former two being key attributes of cherry blossoms that typically last no more than two weeks. The various squares are meant to represent structure since everything found in nature has structure and purpose.
