Las dos fotografías están muy bien, pero me ha entretenido y gustado más el texto. Hace décadas también bailábamos otros, entonces tenían ambientes atrayentes y lo pasábamos genial, ahora cambiaron modas y educación y muchas abandonaron y otras demolidos. Mejor que fueran ellas y nosotros lo podamos contar. Lo de madre, niño y gatos, precioso.

ein verspätetes HFF

Thank you, everybody for the kind and interesting comments. For those that had questions about the cat colony, these are not really feral cats, just strays, and as unlikely to be aggressive as any animal that is used to humans. Feline colonies are surprisingly well managed, at least here in Tuscany. The cats are neutered, so there are generally no kittens; most of them therefore are cats that were once someone's pet and got abandoned (don't get me started on people who think animals are toys to be discarded when you get tired of them or feel inconvenienced ...). Animal Welfare services was smart enough here to enlist the help of residents who spontaneously care for strays. They are known by the somewhat disparaging name of "gattare", but they are a great resource for the management of feline colonies and Animal Services keeps a register of these citizens who in turn keep an eye on the colony they care for, reporting any new arrivals that may not yet be neutered (neutered cats get the tip of one ear trimmed off, so they are immediately recognisable and do not risk getting caught twice for the operation) or the presence of sick or hurt animals that need veterinary care. They also get supplied with basic but decent quality food based on the number of animals in the colony. As you can see, some also provide shelters for the cats (these they do not get from Animal Services, but at their own expense), but mostly, day in and day out, rain or shine, they come by and feed the strays. Often they do this at regular times and you can sometimes see a colony of cats all show up together at a certain hour because they know it's food time :)
