I only know that the measure unit for the pungency is the Scoville scale :-)
Red pepper has about 100-500 Scoville, Tabasco 2'000-5'000 and "Blair’s 16 Million Reserve" is the hottest, as the name says, 16 million Scoville :-)

Beautiful and so delicious looking!! I adore hot peppers but only if they aren't stupid-hot (Ghost peppers, etc.) I actually have 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes AND 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger every single morning! :) The ginger goes in a special vinegar drink I have, but the pepper flakes, I pop them in my mouth and chew them up! Hahahahah, my husband is convinced I'm insane but they are super and good for your metabolism and other perks too! :)
