A 'HFF' from Dj'.. Chesterfield canal .. Derbyshire.

A 'HFF' from Dj'.. Chesterfield canal .. Derbyshire.
The Chesterfield canal 'company'..was one of the earliest to be completed in Britain..formed by local people in 1771 at the start of the industrial revolution. The canal was built to give land locked Derbyshire an outlet to the river 'Trent' - a great highway for both inland boats and coastal craft from the North sea.
Today .. the maintained tow path is still open and is very popular with walkers - cyclists.

Janet Brien, Diana Australis, , Andy Rodker and 9 other people have particularly liked this photo

Isn't this a perfectly delightful picture to look at. Great perspective here, isn't it fun to see all of those darling duckies from way up high!

What a beautiful channel...love the leading lines that pull me through the picture. Nice job. :)
