Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Andy Rodker clubIt is amazing what difference a bright sunny day will make, and of course the sun is on this side of the loco. A lot of thought went into finding this spot, so I am really pleased that you like it.
Have a good week!

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to SteI am really honoured by your visit here. While there are a lot of canals in Holland, there was only one such crossing on this railway, and it is this swing bridge!
They also burn smokeless fuel....
Enjoy your week!

The railway staff were very friendly, and the hint for location came from the stationmaster!
Enjoy your week!

It looks there is an interesting bridge. I wonder about the two different constructions of this bridge. (right side and left side) Maybe they were built in different time...
A big YS from me!

Thank you so much for visiting this railway, and of course for the awards.
I think you are right about the bridges. The locomotive is on a swing bridge, which looks quite old. The concrete on the right hand bridge looks newer. I think that at some time the bridge over the road was re-designed to give extra height which is why the girders look barely strong enough to support this big locomotive.
Love Peter
