It seems as if a lot of pubs called "The Fox and Hounds" look just like this one. I love pubs like this - very atmospheric.

It used to attract a better sort of patron (no riff-raff here!) and the food wasn't bad. I hope it hasn't changed and I hope it's still there but it's only accessible by car so I fear the worst as with so many such pubs in the countryside.

It looks very nice there.....................it's obviously been well kept on the outside and I would imagine it to be the same on the inside. A lovely image Andy!

Thank you, Keith. It was lovely inside but at some point in the last 5 years it changed hands and went downhill fast. As happens.
For all I know it is probably no more as it relied on passing motor traffic and car and alcohol are a decided no-no these days.

A welcoming looking pub and, yes, scrabble can sometimes be pretty stormy :-) Your then girlfriend had good musical taste. Classic Rod Stewart!
