The summit of Cancho Gordo looking out over a foggy Lozoya Valley. In fact the whole of Central Spain was in thick fog that day. Leaving Madrid on the bus that morning and I had no idea if I would be able to get above the clouds! Here is the answer!

THis was manned by Republicans who always expected the Nationalist march on Madrid to come from the north. In fact it came from the south and west.

Well worth the climb up there I should think.................such a fantastic view and a stunning shot Andy!

It wouldn't have wanted to do sentry duty up there though, especially at night or in the winter..!!
