My nearest Madrid park, named after the ubiquitous Spanish bank of course but one I don't know all that well. The reason? There are 5 gates to the park but ALL are situated on the west and the south sides and I live 5 minutes walk away from the northwest corner, so it takes me 20 minutes just to get to an entrance. This seems crazy to me!

How weird that there are no entrances on the north and east sides, how strange that is, that they didn't think of making this gorgeous park accessible to all.

It irks me a lot, Jenny. And I have no idea why except that maybe the population was more concentrated to the south and west of this park when it was being built. But that is me being too generous. Maybe as the ground rises a lot to the northeast, they simply didn't want the expense of putting steps in on my side.
