I replied shortly after your comment but it disappeared. I still haven't got used to the differences. But I'm getting there slowly!
What I said was that my latest photo shows that the lavender is happy in La Cabrera, In fact all my lavender shots are from there! So there is no conflict or contrast between the two! When the lavender is in season it is always from La Cabrera. Out of season and of course my La Cabrera shots don't have any lavender in them! :o)

It used to be called French or Provencal lavender because it has the same two top purple leaves (not petals) but recent DNA profiling showed that it was a different variety found only in Central Spain and Portugal. Best wishes, Andy

So do they use this lavender as they do with the other lavender?

I'm not sure. On the plain they grow other varieties commercially. Maybe this one is not responsive to commercial cultivation. I just don't know, Sorry!
