Le Ring Andersen est un ketch construit en 1948, un “Baltic Trader” qui porte le nom du chantier qui l’a construit, car c’est le dernier à être sorti de ce chantier naval danois. Entre 1948 et 1962, il transporte du sel, des céréales et autres denrées entre la mer Baltique et l’Afrique. En 1962, il devient yacht dans les Antilles, et y reste 30 ans à transporter des passagers. En 1980, il retourne dans son port d’attache, et même dans son chantier d’origine à Svenborg, où il subit des travaux importants pendant 3 ans, tout en gardant son authenticité. Le Ring Andersen retourne aux Antilles et changera plusieurs fois de propriétaire et de pavillon avant de s’amarrer définitivement à la Bretagne et plus précisément à Vannes qui est devenu son port d’attache. Le Ring Andersen est désormais exploité par la société la société AMD en partenariat avec Les Voiles Océanes

The Ring Andersen is a ketch built in 1948, a "Baltic Trader" named after the shipyard that built it, as it was the last to leave this Danish shipyard. Between 1948 and 1962, it transported salt, cereals and other goods between the Baltic Sea and Africa. In 1962, she became a yacht in the West Indies, where she remained for 30 years, carrying passengers. In 1980, she returned to her home port, and even to her original shipyard in Svenborg, where she underwent a major 3-year refit, while retaining her authenticity. The Ring Andersen returned to the West Indies and changed owner and flag several times before finally being moored in Brittany, and more specifically in Vannes, which had become her home port. The Ring Andersen is now operated by AMD in partnership with Les Voiles Océanes.
