Le Pascual Flores est une goélette, de type “pailebot” à coque en bois, construit en 1917 dans la province d’Alicante, dans la ville de Torrevieja, un site propice à l’exploitation du sel marin. Le terme de “pailebote” (ou pailebot en français) vient de l’anglais “pilot’s boat”, en raison de la conception des ces bateaux qui leur garantit vitesse et maniabilité. Le Pascual Flores a transporté du sel, des fruits et des frets divers, et de rachat en rachat, il a subi des modifications structurelles, jusqu’à ce que la ville de Torrevieja, son port d’origine, le rachète en 1999 pour en faire son emblème. En 2020, la mairie de Torrevieja et la Fondation Nao Victoria ont signé un accord de collaboration pour le transfert, la réparation et la mise au point du pailebote et le voici désormais de nouveau sur l’eau pour le plus grand bonheur des spectateurs qui découvrent ce musée flottant !

The Pascual Flores is a "pailebot" schooner with a wooden hull, built in 1917 in the province of Alicante, in the town of Torrevieja, a site favourable for the exploitation of sea salt. The term "pailebote" (or pailebot in French) comes from the English "pilot's boat", due to the design of these boats, which ensure speed and manoeuvrability. The Pascual Flores was used to transport salt, fruit and various cargoes, and from one takeover to the next it underwent structural modifications, until the town of Torrevieja, its original port, bought it in 1999 to make it its emblem. In 2020, Torrevieja City Council and the Nao Victoria Foundation signed a collaboration agreement for the transfer, repair and development of the pailebote, and now it's back on the water to the delight of spectators discovering this floating museum!
