La Nao Victoria est la réplique du navire qui a fait le premier Tour du monde entre 1519 et 1522, le plus grand exploit maritime de tous les temps. Pour la première fois dans l’histoire maritime, un bateau part et revient dans son port d’attache, Séville, après avoir réussi à réaliser le « tour complet » de la planète.
La Nao Victoria est une réplique construite avec une rigueur historique méticuleuse dans laquelle les détails de l’original ont été respectés et constitue un authentique chef-d’oeuvre de la charpenterie ibérique.

En 2004, pour commémorer ce premier tour du monde et rendre un hommage vivant au travail des marins espagnols, la réplique de la Nao Victoria entame à nouveau, depuis Séville, un voyage autour du globe.
Pendant la période 2004-2006, la Nao Victoria des temps modernes va parcourir 26 894 milles et visiter 17 pays.

Ne vous fiez pas à son nom à consonance scandinave, le Ring Andersen bat pavillon français. Mais il ne s’agit pas d’un acte de piraterie moderne ! Le Ring Andersen est bien à l'origine un yatch construit au… Danemark en 1948.
Du fait de son lancement tardif, c'est l'un des tous derniers Baltic Traders à avoir été construit selon les méthodes en cours entre la deuxième partie du XIXe siècle et le début de la Seconde Guerre mondiale.
Entre 1948 et 1962, il a transporté du sel, des céréales et d’autres denrées entre la mer Baltique et l’Afrique. Son activité de cargo a rapidement cessé du fait de la concurrence des cargos à moteur.

Le Ring Andersen a été restauré en 2019 – 2020. Il passe sous pavillon français et rejoint Port Haliguen puis Vannes, son nouveau port d’attache.
Il est exploité par la société Les Voiles Océane.

In 2004, to commemorate this first round-the-world voyage and pay living tribute to the work of Spanish sailors, the replica of the Nao Victoria set off once again from Seville on a voyage around the globe.
Over the period 2004-2006, the modern-day Nao Victoria will cover 26,894 miles and visit 17 countries.

Don't let her Scandinavian-sounding name fool you, the Ring Andersen is flying the French flag. But this is not an act of modern-day piracy! The Ring Andersen was originally a yacht built in... Denmark in 1948.
Because it was launched so late, it was one of the very last Baltic Traders to have been built using the methods in use between the second half of the nineteenth century and the start of the Second World War.
Between 1948 and 1962, she transported salt, grain and other goods between the Baltic Sea and Africa. Her activity as a cargo ship soon ceased due to competition from motor cargo ships.

The Ring Andersen was restored in 2019 - 2020. She is now sailing under the French flag to Port Haliguen and Vannes, her new home port.
She is operated by Les Voiles Océane.
