Milky Way Rising at Little Sable

After watching the sunset and a storm at Big Sable Point we headed south at about midnight to Little Sable Point to do some astral photography. The main photo here was taken in the dunes at Little Sable with the Milky Way rising in the background.

Hansruedi Voegele club has replied to Malik Raoulda clubWell, I would have liked to be there, of course :-) but you gave it to me as a gift...Thank you.
Happy summer solstice:)
TY for your kind remarks about the Fairy Slipper I photographed years ago. Would dearly love to see some again, they really are so beautiful! Sorry you haven't seen any this year but hey, you've been to the Alamo and the Grand Canyon, WOOOOO!!!
I hope the wedding went well, outside sounds nice! :) How nice that you'll have been able to see a brother you've not visited in a while! I hope the two of you get along ok! :)
You'll be on the road soon, let's hope for comfortable weather and lots of fine photo ops!
And of course you have a busy summer planned--it's the way you work! HEH! Steve and I are crossing our fingers that Oregon doesn't reclose the state campgrounds again with the resurgence of covid. *groan*
I'm glad my comments about your storm pictures tickled you. You deserve many kudos. I loved reading about your usually reserved brother, how fun is that?! :D
Wow, you're going to Iceland...I hope that all goes well in the flight department, but by this time I think airlines have figured it out pretty well.
BTW, you will be totally amazed if you don't already know this but did you know that auroras have a SOUND that is detectable? Kind of a crackling noise...take a look at this G search and click on an interesting link to learn more. Totally fascinating! www.google.com/search?q=sound+of+aurora+borealis&oq=sound+of+auror&aqs=chrome.0.0j69i57.4199j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
And...darn...I didn't know that there are seasons for auroras...and summer ain't one of them. MAJOR BUMMER. :( Well, maybe you'll get lucky anyway! And...it will be lovely there nonetheless. :)
Ok off I go...monsters to kill, loot to grab...heh...
Superb, Ron

Hello Ron.
Have been away for days, internal mechanics, now again in running order.
Wish you a very happy week.
Stay safe.
