Sunset and Storm over Lake Michigan

This was the storm we watched as it formed over Lake Michigan and moved inland to the north. We, my youngest brother, a friend and I were at Ludington State Park in Michigan to photograph the sunset and the lighthouse there when the storm developed.

Very beautiful, Ron
Hansruedi Voegele club has replied to neira-Dan clubTY for your note on my hiking picture, it's nice that you are enjoying them so much--what fun times. And I agree, just getting out on a trail, whether or not you find subject for photography, it's the experience to cherish...the smells of the forest, the breeze on your face, the sounds of creatures near and far...what magic. :)
I'm so glad you were able to visit with your parents. I know what you mean about wondering if it's the last time or not. I would think that of my papa when I visited. In fact, he actually sabotaged respiratory things when we visited the last couple of times--figured it out later that he was hoping to actually die while we were there, but instead caused us all to totally freak out and get insanely angry that he create some sort of medical emergency every time we came down. In the end, I had to book an immediate flight (which was 8 hrs late as is so very typical of United) to be there because father was going home for final hospice. Sad times. But for you--it's great that you've been able to have many quality visits with them, how nice! You are very lucky to get so much time with them, without the games my father played.
The cabinets sound great! Won't they be wonderful when you have them in place. And you know, the project you outlined sounds like a big one but you now the drill...one step at a time and don't dwell on the whole picture but just the first step in front of you. Bit by bit it will all fall into place and eventually you'll be able to step back and admire the lovely completed project and then you'll get to appreciate it every day! :)
Oh my, I can only imagine all of the rocks that Nancy's collected. LOL, they are so darn heavy but how does one put them back when they're so pretty?! :D Heh...the poor, groaning van! LOL!
Ok, off I go--again, your pictures...WOW! That lightning...I hate you just a little bit! :D Ok, not really! :D
