Riverwalk Flowers

These are all flowers we photographed during our morning stroll along the riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. We had planned a long bicycle ride for the day but got up early and went for a walk as well, not downtown as we had done the day before but south, the same direction we would go again later in the day to see the old Spanish missions for which San Antonio is famous.

Sorry I haven't been around...I owe you some massive replies! I will be back I hope tonight but not sure. If not, tomorrow morning!
I'm back! :) I had to look at the flowers again...such a nice selection of different types and colors. Can't pick a favorite though because they are all just lovely! :)
My first reply is to the comment you left on one of my rock presentations...I'll just roll around and purr happily if you don't mind! :) Thank you for the attention to look at all of my pictures, Ron. You know, when I was younger, I'd always run and show my mom whatever artistic thing I'd done and she would lavish me with praise that was truly genuine. Even though we were at odds in so many ways, when it came to creativity, mom loved whatever I did. For that (and plenty of other things), I miss her so terribly... it was such fun to appreciate her amazing quilting, sewing, weaving, embroidery, crocheting, and whatever else she was up to. And she made me feel so good about whatever I showed her... you do that for me, Ron. It's so nice. (of course I am so lucky to have so many fine friends here on ipernity who also make me feel wonderful about my endeavors too!) But you fill a special spot, as you know. Anyway...thanks. :)
BTW, I've got two more sets of finished rocks sitting on a big towel in the kitchen! There are so many beauties to ooh and ahh over! Steve and I go over and pick some up whenever we go in there. It's going to be tough to keep my favorites down to a reasonable number for taking pictures...at this point I'm just gawking at them all! Fun stuff. :)
LOL about daylight savings time and forgetting about it...yeah that has happened to use several times through the years, though we managed to remember this time! Still, I got it turned around in my head so I thought we had an extra hour when it was the other way around...I ended up sleeping an hour longer on purpose when I actually needed to get up an hour earlier...so it was two hours later for me when I got up. UGH! Happily I'm back on schedule but wow am I tired! You may find that getting up at 5am instead of 6am is reasonable but me? *whimper* Getting up at 6am instead of 7am is a bit rough...6:30 would be alright but wow! I did my adjustment in two days...yesterday I got up at (daylight savings time) 7:30...(6:30am) and today I got up at DST 7:00 (6am)...and right now I am really tired...my poor body is so confused! :D
Wow, they didn't find anything wrong with your car? That's perplexing, isn't it? Seems like they just didn't figure out the mystery. Can't blame them...we've had issues with various cars and yet, when it comes time to have the cars checked out, nobody can find the problem. Well, I hope that whatever is going on doesn't become a serious issue when you're out on the road!
Yeah, your death valley sunset picture sure was really beautiful. Steve hasn't been all that keen on spending time in desert environments but I would love the opportunity to take pictures of the unique plants and landscape that can be seen in these places so we'll have some visits eventually.
Gosh, that's the cutest thing that your grandkids love to visit, partly because of the treats they get! Hilarious! :D I loved visiting my dad's parents because grandma was so wonderful, giving us treats and playing games with us and just being the very bestest! I loved grandpa too, even though he wasn't as much on the scene to do stuff with. But he was still great. Your grandkids are so lucky to have you guys! :)
Ok, I didn't reply to the really long post you left for me but I'm falling asleep! So it will just have to wait! :)
Good morning, enjoy your lovely coffee and have a wonderful breakfast with Nancy! :)
