Madison Junction

Coming into Yellowstone National Park from the west, one follows the entrance road for fourteen miles from the town of West Yellowstone, just outside the park, to Madison Junction where the entrance road joins the lower loop of the main road. Madison Junction is also the place where the Madison River begins at the confluence of the Gibbon and Firehole Rivers and then flows out of the park to the west along the same route as thee entrance road. There is a campground at Madison Junction and these sunset photos were taken near the campground and the river. We were camped there early in the year when the roads were just being opened.

I love the wide-open skies full of gorgeous, puffy clouds in your main image. The composition is very nice, allowing my eye to run around the edges of the mountainside and the lake.
If Steve were to look at all of these pictures in turn, we would be LIVING at YS right now, snow bedamned! :D
I'm so glad you enjoyed my latest installment! :) It makes me wiggle in joy that you've enjoyed the show! We are so happy with everything. It would have been glorious to cruise around JSSP with you, I am sure you guys will love it whenever you get down this way. Maybe the timing will work out and we could camp together there! :)
Glad you liked all my pictures, there are plenty more. And I haven't even touched the resin pictures...heh...more about that later. :)
WOO HOO!!! So glad to hear that you found a replacement van which is ideal for you guys! :) How awesome is that? Low mileage and almost a twin of your previous van. That ROX! :)
You're planning to visit TX? OMG Steve does NOT like that place. He picked up his glorious yellow BMW from a place near Austin and drove all the way home with it...and he simply detested TX. I keep telling him that TX has sooooo much beauty but he can't see it being possible. :D Pictures please. :) I know that every state has its beauty though you may have to dig for it sometimes! :D
Steve has been working on my new bed for the RV!!! OMG RON, it's the coolest thing on the PLANET!! *bounces around, squeeing joyfully* He pulled out the loveseat couch in there and then built a frame for the bed that will go there. He called me over to take a peekie at his progress... it's the BOMB!! The slide is 72" wide which means I'll have a fabulous length for my twin size bed (38" wide, totally spacious!). A week ago we ordered a custom-sized mattress for only $225 and the other day it arrived...it's AMAZING!! Gorgeous, soft, exactly the right thickness and firmness, it's actually elegant! And it fits in the space TO A TEE! So Steve put the bed frame in place and then we put the new mattress on top, just to see how it will all look. *dances around the room* IT'S PERFECT!!!! :D The bed frame will eventually have 3 large drawers for storage underneath, talk about efficient use of space! The height is perfect, the size is perfect...we can't stop purring. :) :)
Ok, off I go...we're bubbling with happiness and I hope you guys are doing GREAT!! :)
