Sandhill Cranes

Sandhill Cranes
Photographed on the west side of Yellowstone National Park, these Sandhill Cranes were engaged in "unison calling" a ritual in which male and female stand together and call to each other in a "synchronized and complex duet" before moving off into the woods where they began their mating dance.
