Madison River

Continuing our tour of Yellowstone National Park, we now come into the park via the west entrance. That road is fourteen miles and follows the Madison River, the river in this photo. The photo, taken in September, shows, too, the warmth of the river, which is fed by hot springs and is quite warm year around. There are often bison and elk along the river, some of which are shown in the inset photos.

Thanks for stopping by to drop a note to check on me! :) We're back and had a perfect trip! I've got so many fabulous pictures to share! It will be probably 5 sets of 10 insets when I'm done, heh...what fun it was to not feel rushed. I was able to just go where I wanted at any pace, and I literally lost myself taking pictures. It was easy to find my way back though and such fun to feel so free and comfortable.
I found the White-Breasted Nuthatch picture you commented on, and I smiled at your enjoyment of its cocky position...they're such bold little devils, aren't they? Well, perhaps feisty? I just love them so much--not surprised we feel the same! :)
Oh my gosh, you're in Iowa now? (home now?) I hope you were able to get all of your work done. Ugh on the insurance company making you wait, that's terrible. Heh, your comment about no internet...I guess we were wonder twins since we didn't have internet at Joseph Stewart! And yes, I bet you were looking forward to getting back home, not very hospitable with that nasty weather.
Ok, I'll let you go for now, thanks again for the visit! :)
