Joshua Tree Flowers

The Joshua Trees were just starting to bloom when we visited Joshua Tree National Park. We found the first trees in bloom near Jumbo Rocks.

Groet en fijne dag, Christien.
Wish you all the best
I've never rendered fat for suet but you've made it sound simple...we can use the stuff we pour off! Wonderful! By the way I was thinking about you yesterday...a huge crew of robins has been stopping by every day to charge around the meadow and make us laugh at their peculiar but effective hunting methods. And, amidst the group I saw a bird that was hopping around and spearing the ground. Grabbed the binoculars...a FLICKER! What a beauty!! Steve and I traded the glasses back and forth to enjoy the show, my goodness they are such lovely birds. :) We have some suet cakes in the garage, I'll put some out today!
Thanks too for the instructions on a peanut butter feeder, we'll have to give that a try too.
Also, I wondered...are you not able to see my insets at all? They *are* set to private but folks can see the insets and have remarked on them as usual...I don't make them public because it creates a messy photo stream -- though I could organize it of course. I wonder if you happened to visit just as I was making the insets...hmmm. I'd be very curious to know if they are accessible to you now.
Re: Monopoly...I wouldn't bother playing this game now either unless there was a full group, and even still...there are better games! I did love playing as a kid though, so many fun memories! :)
Re: airline travel: Oh it's just horrible, isn't it? And that's domestic. International...it's worse than clawing your eyes out...we went to France last April and I swore that I never ever want to do that again...the lines, the wait, the horrible treatment by some people, the worry, people's horrible attitudes and screaming babies... the whole experience... I cannot even DESCRIBE how awful it was. So yeah. I get it...airline travel sucks! :P (yes I'll do international travel again but man, it will take some SERIOUS convincing)
