Large Northern Yellow Lady's Slipper

After traveling through Kootenay National Park we spent the night in Canmore, Alberta, in Banff National Park, and spent the next day exploring the Canmore area and hiking the Grassi Lakes trail there. It was in Banff that these photos of Yellow Lady's Slippers were taken. They were everywhere, often in large clumps, as the insets show (the first inset photo was taken by my wife).
